It’s funny that this happened while I was at an auction for this painting. This painting that didn’t sell. None of them sold. Like sad orphans at a carnival, all three hung in the midst of a paper bag and rattlesnake skin installation with a political message (?), a painting of a henna tattooed elephant that looked like it was about to say “namaste”, and a still life of a tea pot with a starting bid set at $4000. The elephant sold for an embarrassingly high price, naturally.
